Carrie Underwood is a mom again!
The country star, 35, welcomed her second child — a son named Jacob Bryan Fisher, with husband Mike Fisher — on Monday, Jan. 21, she revealed on Instagram Wednesday.
“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday … his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!” alongside a photo gallery of herself, Fisher and proud big brother Isaiah Michael, 3½, with a newborn Jacob.
“Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good … ” she added.

The little one’s arrival comes months after Underwood revealed she and Fisher, 38, were expecting another child in August. She announced the sex of her baby in November during the opening of the 2018 CMA Awards, which she co-hosted once again alongside Brad Paisley at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
The happy news of her baby boy on the way came nine months after Underwood received 40 to 50 stitches in her face and underwent surgery on her broken wrist after a November 2017 fall on the steps of her Nashville home.
In addition, she revealed she suffered three miscarriages from 2017 to 2018. During an emotional interview with CBS Sunday Morning in September, she opened up about her challenging fertility struggles.
Explaining her reaction to the heartbreak, the “blessed” star said, “My son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’ “

“And I have this amazing life,” Underwood continued. “Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.”
Speaking with Redbook in August about her emotional year, Underwood reflected on her life-changing fall and the hurdles she overcame in the months that followed.
“It was … a very soul-searching year for me. There were some personal things that happened,” she said. “And I had the accident and all of that to get through … and just life. Life is full of ups and downs, and I might have had a few more downs than ups last year.”
As for how Isaiah will transition into a big brother, the American Idol season 4 champion told Jimmy Fallon in September that her older child may not understand his new role.
“I don’t think for real he does,” Underwood said. “He’ll be really sweet and talk to my belly and kiss my belly. He’s the sweetest little boy. But no kid can really know that their life is going to change … He’ll have to share Mommy.”
Underwood released her latest album, Cry Pretty, on Sept. 14, ahead of hosting the CMA Awards for the 11th time. She is currently on maternity leave before kicking off her tour, supported by Maddie & Tae and Runaway June, on May 1. Tickets are on sale now.
