Saros makes 32 saves, Predators shut out Flyers

NASHVILLE — Juuse Saros made 32 saves for the Nashville Predators in a 4-0 win against the Philadelphia Flyers at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday.

Viktor Arvidsson scored two goals for the Predators (24-15-2), who have won two games in a row after going 0-5-1 in their previous six.

It was Saros’ second shutout this season and the sixth of his NHL career.

Philadelphia (15-19-5) has lost four consecutive games and is 3-7-2 in its past 12 games.

Craig Smith gave the Predators a 1-0 lead at 2:03 of the second period. Kevin Fiala led a rush and made a cross-ice pass to Smith, who shot high past Flyers goaltender Michal Neuvirth from the right face-off circle.

Arvidsson gave the Predators a 2-0 lead at 12:03 of the second when he tapped in Ryan Johansen‘s pass through the crease.

Arvidsson made it 3-0 at 6:15 of the third when he scored on a partial breakaway. He received a pass from Ryan Ellis and beat Neuvirth on the glove side for his 11th goal of the season.

Rocco Grimaldi put Nashville ahead 4-0 at 11:37 with a wrist shot from the right circle.

Saros has allowed one goal or fewer each of his past three games.
