David Perron was placed on injured reserve by the St. Louis Blues on Thursday because of an upper-body injury.
The 30-year-old has missed the past three games for the Blues, last playing in a 5-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on Jan. 17.
He had a point in 13 straight games prior to the injury (six goals, 10 assists).
Signed by St. Louis to a four-year, $16 million contract July 1, Perron has 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists) in 45 games this season, second on the Blues behind Ryan O’Reilly (50). He’s tied with Vladimir Tarasenko for second in goals, one behind O’Reilly (18).
The Blues (22-22-5), currently on their mandatory five-day break after the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend, play the Columbus Blues Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Saturday (7 p.m. ET, FS-O, FS-MW, NHL.TV). They are three points behind the Colorado Avalanche for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference.
