BOSTON — Kyle Connor scored two goals in 34 seconds in the third period and had the lone goal in the shootout in the Winnipeg Jets’ 4-3 win against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Tuesday.
Connor Hellebuyck made 36 saves, and Josh Morrissey scored for Winnipeg (32-16-2), which avoided its first three-game losing streak of the season.
Patrice Bergeron scored two goals, and Jaroslav Halak made 24 saves for Boston (27-17-6), which is 1-2-2 in its past five games. Brad Marchand had three assists, and David Pastrnak had one goal and two assists.
Bergeron gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead at 9:49 of the first period.
The Jets tied the score 1-1 on Morrissey’s power-play goal at 13:53.
Pastrnak’s power-play goal at 18:33 gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead.
Boston outshot Winnipeg 20-8 in the first period.
Connor tied the game 2-2 with a goal at 4:27 of the third period and then gave the Jets a 3-2 lead at 5:01.
Bergeron’s goal at 11:39 tied the score 3-3.
