Vatanen’s amazing save starts wild sequence that ends with Hall’s goal

Sami Vatanen made a crazy save. Taylor Hall scored a goal. Someone lost a glove along the way. It was all in a shift’s work for the New Jersey Devils.

In the second period of a victory against the Ottawa Senators on Friday, Vatanen made an incredible play, sliding in behind Devils goalie Keith Kinkaid and blocking Brady Tkachuk’s rebound shot with his stick.

As if that wasn’t enough, Nico Hischier dove into the crease to help keep the puck out while Kinkaid was also diving back.

As if that wasn’t enough, Kyle Palmieri then stole the puck away Senators forward Mark Stone, pushed the puck up the ice only for it to find Tkachuk’s glove, which was laying on the ice, so Palmieri slapped it forward with his hand.

After regaining control, Palmieri found a streaking Hall who buried the puck to end the wild sequence.
